Erika Benkovic – Life long fitness champion
Erika is 50 years old, training for about 20 years using free weights. She trains for 3 to 6 days during the week with free weights and supplements 2 to 4 days in cardio exercises. She currently works out at LA-Fitness gym and resides in Boyertown, PA.
Erika has been working out roughly 25 years and never competed in her life. Her first competition last year, she has competed in NGA (National Gym Association) where she placed 3rd and 4th overall natural woman’s body building competition. Erika also placed 3rd and 5th overall in NPC (National Physique Committee) competition. Her goal is to win in NPC competition so that she is allowed to compete in IFBB (International Federation of BodyBuilders).
Erika’s diet plan is easy to follow. She consumes lean meats such as chicken and steak. She likes to avoid carbohydrates since it will create that baby fat look for the bodybuilders. She supplements this diet with fresh greens and veggies. Moreover, She also added nuts and berries to mix things up and she has some special supplement regiments she will share later date on this website.
Erika’s quote, “If the bar ain’t bending, you are simply pretending!” represents how she uses free weights to sculpt her body. First time competing in year 2012 where she finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th overall places in both NGA and NPC, Erika realizes that she can win these shows with some solid training this year. She keeps insisting that it is never too late to hit the gym and exercise. All we have to do is show up to the gym and get some solid hour work out in to make a difference in our lives.
